Full Time Positions:

Part Time and Seasonal Positions:

Various Town departments offer seasonal and part-time employment throughout the year. Please see bellow for current part-time listings and how to apply. 

Parks & Recreation: 

The Parks Department's 2025 seasonal hiring period has ended. Applications for Summer 2026 positions will be available beginning in April 2026. At that time, links to our online forms will be posted on this page for the following: 

  • Seasonal New Hire Form (Must be at least 16 years old)
  • Volunteer Swim Instructor Form (Must be 14/15 years old - volunteer)
  • CIT (Counselor In Training) Form (Must be 15 years old - volunteer)

Formal lifeguard applications will also reopen in April 2026. Please check back in April 2026 for the live application links. 

Department of Public Works: 

If interested in applying, please visit the Department of Public Works (1023 N. Indiana Ave., Lindenhurst) during the hours of 8am-3pm, Monday - Friday. Please bring your government-issued photo ID (license preferred) and your social security card. 

Seasonal Positions: April 1 to October 31

  • $16.50/hour 
  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM
  • Highway and Buildings & Grounds positions available. 
  • Work includes: highway maintenance, grass cutting, debris collection, etc.

Part-Time Positions: November 1 to March 31

  • $16.50/hour
  • 20 hours a week
  • M-W or W-F shifts available
  • Highway and Buildings & Grounds positions available. 
  • Work includes: highway maintenance, snow removal, debris collection, etc.
