No, it is against Town Code to park any vehicle on the street that is not registered and does not have license plates. If a vehicle is parked on the street and is in violation of Town Code, it will be towed and the owner will be issued a summons.General Questions

Complaints about a privately-owned fence that is deteriorating can be made to Citizen Services at (631) 957-TOWN (8696). Code Enforcement would then be made aware of the situation, and inspectors would act accordingly.General Questions

A tree that the Town does not own is the private property of the homeowner. If he/she does not maintain personal property, such that branches are hanging in your yard, an option would be to take your neighbor to Small Claims Court. Small Claims Court, (631) 854-1950, is located in the 2nd District Court building at 375 Commack Road in Deer Park.General Questions

Though there is no public listing of boarded-up homes in the Town, finding the owner of the property would give you the ability to contact that person/entity. If you are trying to find out who owns a specific property, but you do not have an exact address, such information is available by filing a Freedom of Information Request in the Town Clerk's Office, (631) 957-4291, which is located in Town Hall, 200 E. Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst. However, in the case that you do have a specific address, the owner of a specific property can be found by using the computer system in the Assessor's Office, (631) 957-3014, in Town Hall. Once the owner of the property is found, you would have to contact that individual owner to inquire about the property further.General Questions
