Requests to Reschedule an Appearance:

On one occasion prior to the date and time of the scheduled appearance, a respondent may request that the appearance be rescheduled to a date later than the scheduled appearance date showing good cause for the request and on notice to the Town Attorney’s Office.

Other Requests:

An administrative law judge may grant a request to adjourn an appearance or hearing to a later date only after a showing of good cause as determined by the administrative law judge in his or her discretion.  

Review:

The denial or grant of an adjournment request is not subject to separate or interim review or appeal and shall be in the sound discretion of the administrative law judge presiding.
