Parks & Recreation - Seasonal Boat Berth Slips
New applicants must join the waitlist by submitting a completed application along with required documentation to the Parks Department, 151 Phelps Lane in North Babylon. The Town rents boat slips at Tanner Park in Copiague and South Great Neck Road in Copiague. Associated fees are $50.00 a foot for South Great Neck Road and the floating dock at Tanner Park. The main dock at Tanner Park is $60.00 a foot.
Waitlist Applicants must prove they are residents of the Town of Babylon and requirements include:

- Current New York State Driver's License
- Current New York State Boat Registration
Waitlist applicants will be contacted before the season begins if a slip becomes available.

Seasonal boat berth slips are rented annually for the boating season, which begins on April 15 and ends on November 15. No boats can be docked in a slip before April 15, and all boats must be removed from the water by November 15.

The Town of Babylon offers seasonal boat slips exclusively at Tanner Park and South Great Neck Road in Copiague. The Town does not rent seasonal berth slips at any other marina or docking facility.

Slip fees are based on the length of the boat:
Tanner Park Main Dock: $60.00 per foot
Tanner Park Floating Dock & South Great Neck Road: $50.00 per foot

Parks & Recreation - Seasonal Boat Berth Slips
Applicants must be Town of Babylon residents and the registered owner of the boat. A valid New York State driver’s license, current NYS boat registration, and a matching property tax or utility bill (gas, water, electric, or sewer) are required. Federally documented boats are not accepted.
