Congratulations to Yolanda and Ervin, the lucky Wyandanch couple that won the Town Clerk’s Valentine Wedding for 2024!
The February 14th wedding ceremony was the first ever to be performed at the Schnur Mansion, which houses the Town’s Parks Department in North Babylon. The bridal bouquet was laced with seeds of Bells of Ireland and created by Town Clerk Gerry Compitello. The custom made carrot cake was donated by Amityville’s very own Pure Sugar Inc., and was chosen by the bride and groom because it is Jamaican custom. And music was provided by Guitarist and Parks Department staff member Gary Holmgren.
The happy couple met three years ago and reside in Wyandanch where they love to garden, cook meals and read history. They wrote their own vows, focusing on how they both make each other better people and were joined at the ceremony by close family and friends.
We wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
