Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilman and Human Services Chairman DuWayne Gregory and the Department of Human Services are proud to present the 38th annual Black History Month program - "A Century of Black History Commemorations" on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Amityville Memorial High School, 250 Merrick Road, Amityville, NY. The event will include:
- Master of Ceremonies: Mr. Kevin Bostin-Hill
- Vendor Market
- Entertainment from the Amityville Memorial HS Jazz Band, Venettes Cultural Workshop, and vocalist Jerome Lewis
- Keynote Speaker: Dr. Georgette Grier-Key
- Honorees: Bethel A.M.E Copiague, Bethel A.M.E Babylon, NAACP Central LI Chapter, Holy Trinity Baptist Church, and Ebenezer Baptist Church Babylon.
